The Shomrim Society of Illinois Endowment Fund will hold its 57th Annual, “Man of the Year & Police Officer of the Year” Awards Dinner on Thursday, October 27th, 2016.  We are once again hosting an event honoring individuals who have contributed to our community.

​The 2016 Shomrim Society of Illinois "Man of the Year" recipient is Mr. Scott Gendell, Chairman Jewish National Fund - Chicago.

The 2016 Shomrim Society of Illinois "Police Officer of the Year" is Deputy Chief Jonathan Lewin of the Chicago Police Department.

19th Annual Shomrim Society of Illinois Golf Outing

This event will feature a “Shotgun Start” at 9:00 a.m. Registration at 8:00 a.m.  Advance registration for this very special event is $110.00 per
person.  Registration on the day of the event is $120.00 per person. This includes 18 holes of golf, cart, lunch, dinner, and prizes.
Hole in One Contest—Wins a car!

If you can't physically attend on this date, why not consider sponsoring a hole for $100.00? 
A sign with your name on it will be prominently displayed at a hole.

The Shomrim Society of Illinois Endowment Fund will hold its 56th Annual, “Man of the Year & Police Officer of the Year” reception on Thursday, July 9th 2015.  After a brief hiatus we are once again hosting an event honoring individuals who have contributed to our community.

The 2015 Shomrim Society of Illinois "Man of the Year" recipient is Mr. Lonnie Nasatir, Regional Director of the Upper Midwest Region of the Anti-Defamation League.

The 2015 Shomrim Society of Illinois "Police Officer of the Year" is Deputy Chief Jason Parrot of the Evanston Police Department, and Shomrim Board member.

Chanukah Party - Sunday, December 13th 2015

It is that time of year for our annual Chanukah Party.  We are
again at Nickel City in Northbrook, IL on 13 December 2015 from 1 PM
until 4 PM and hope to see you there.  Light snacks and drinks will be served.

Again this year we have invited less fortunate Jewish Families to attend and
celebrate with us.

2013 Events

Chanukah Party 2013
The 2013 Chanukah Party was held on December 8th at Nickel City in Northbrook.
This year the organization got back to its philanthropic roots and invited a number of families from our community who might not have otherwise been able to enjoy all the sharing Chanukah offered.  Each child was provided with a bag of nickels and all the game playing luck we could muster.  This effort embraced both the Jewish tradition of Tzedakah and law enforcement's service to the public.

The 2011 Chanukah Party was held at Nickel City in Northbrook.  Games, Food, Gifts and Fun

53rd Annual Dinner Dance was held on November 11th, 2011  

"Man of the Year" Samuel R. Harris, President Emeritus of the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center was honored at the Double-Tree Hotel in Skokie.

The Shomrim Society of Illinois Endowment Fund is a 501(C)(3) charitable organization.  If you could not attend but would like to show your support, donations are accepted and can be mailed to P.O. Box 59258 Chicago Illinois 60659.
