Our 63rd annual "Community Heroes" reception will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, 9599 Skokie Boulevard in Skokie, Illinois. Cocktails will be served at 6:30 PM followed by a buffet dinner at 7:30 PM. The seating is "open;" however, you may reserve tables of ten (10). Please note that dietary laws are observed at this event.
This year we will be recognizing Magen David Adom as our Organization of the Year. We will be presenting a "Lifetime Achievement Award" to Detective Marc Leavitt (CPD) as well as our "Corporate Partner of the Year Award" to Amanda Puck, Vice-President of Communication and Brand Development for Roundy's and Mariano's. We will also be presenting a "First Responder of the Year Award" to a member who will be announced at a later date.
Entry to our reception is $140.00 per person. We do not sell physical tickets. You may pay for entry to this event by clicking on the PayPal button below and making the appropriate selection. If you wish to pay by check, please make your check payable to "Shomrim Society of Illinois Endowment Fund" and mail your check to our treasurer, Bruce Rottner at 4950 Old Orchard Rd., Skokie, Illinois 60077. We are a recognized 501(c)(3) organization; therefore, your donations are deductible per IRS regulations.  
Your attendance supports our Endowment Fund Scholarship Fund which provides college grants to children and grandchildren of first responders. Since the inception of our Endowment Fund, we have given over $158,000 in educational grants to help these young people fulfill their dreams.
